Health, safety and compliance

The Estates Division has responsibility for specific areas of safety management including the control of asbestos, and the provision of advice and guidance on fire safety. Close links are established with the University's Safety Office ensuring a complimentary service is provided for the whole organisation. The Estates Division Asbestos Team (EDAT) is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

The University Fire Safety Team provides regulatory and practical fire safety advice to the University of Cambridge management and staff.

The Estates Division Water Safety Team (ED WST) are responsible for ensuring that water systems in University Buildings are safe.
