University Fire Safety
The University Fire Safety Team provides regulatory and practical fire safety advice to the University of Cambridge management and staff ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (as amended), thereby protecting all relevant persons and the Estate from the possible consequences of fire.
This is achieved by ensuring General fire precautions are maintained as determined by the fire risk assessments.
Good fire safety management is not only essential for life safety and property protection but also provides the additional benefit of minimising the impact to business continuity, financial loss and reputational damage.
