Why we need training
Effective management, specific targeted training and good communication are key to managing water hygiene risks throughout the University properties.
The Water Safety Team now provide three training courses; Level 1 aimed at increasing education and awareness and Levels 2 and 3 (City and Guilds accredited) to ensure that those who are involved in managing risk and applying precautions are competent, trained and aware of their responsibilities.
Level 2 and Level 3 training must repeated every three years, more frequently in instances such as a major change to legislation or guidance, or where need is identified by the Responsible Person.
