Cleaning

Facilities Management operates the centrally controlled cleaning contracts, which include windows and premises. The aim of these contracts is to achieve a consistent approach to cleaning. We have therefore engaged innovative cleaning contractors who will work with the University to identify efficiencies which can be used to improve standards, without necessarily increasing our costs, and achieve better economies of scale.

If you would like further information please contact Facilities Management.

Waste Disposal

The University’s non-hazardous waste contract is changing over to Mountain Recycling who will provide a Resource Recovery and Recycling service which will remove the need for a general waste service. This new contract came into force on 1 July 2023. Mountain Recycling will provide a two stream collection service (down from 4 currently), limiting the number of trips required in order to minimise vehicle related emissions - main collection will be via electric vehicle.
