Cambridge West by Chris Baker

The University’s non-operational estate is the land and buildings owned by the University in addition to the operational estate, which is used for teaching, research, support or administration of the University.

The Property Group in the Estates Division manages the University’s non-operational estate to deliver a strong financial return and support innovation by providing spaces for academic and commercial partnerships, as well as housing that meets the needs of the University.

The non-operational property portfolio includes residential (both individual dwellings and apartment blocks), as well as offices and other commercial properties and leisure and retail properties, sports facilities, infrastructure including roads and car parks and forestry and agricultural land.

The University’s management of the non-operational property portfolio is overseen by the Property Board
